UNIDENTIFIED (by me) SHRUB

 

I haven't been able to identify the following shrubs. They are both located in Central Louisiana, Zone 9a, in rich alluvial soil and

have survived recent winters with temps reaching the low 20s. The first specimen pictured below is about 8 feet tall, the second about 10 feet tall. They are deciduous.

The photos really don't do justice to the flame red color of the flowers. Thanks for any help ID'ing them.

 

The plant above has a Pecan tree growing up through it.

This is another one in a different yard. At least they look very similar from a distance.
